Action Words
Differentiated Instruction was used while teaching ‘Action Words’ to the students of class 1. Three learning stations were set up to assess the students’ knowledge, understanding and application of the concept of ‘Action Words’. All the children worked their way through the three stations, which required them to enact action words, writing sentences with words or worked on a crossword or story problem.
STATION 1
‘Action Word Mat’ – At the first station, the children rolled a dice and enacted the word on which the landed to their partner.
STATION 2
Using action word images given, the children identified the actions, and wrote sentences using these words.
STATION 3
The children solved a crossword or completed a short story using the appropriate action words.
