The Ant and the Grasshopper

The story ‘The Ant and the Grasshopper’ was learned using a ‘Think-pair-share’ collaborative learning strategy. This strategy requires students to (1) think individually about a topic and (2) share ideas with a partner. Discussing different aspects with a partner maximizes student engagement, focuses their attention and improves comprehension. The students, in pairs, discussed the main characters of the story and filled a mind map to organize their thoughts.
