‘Orbital Project’ is an enriching learning experience in which students are enabled to take learning beyond the confines of a classroom by familiarising with research practices, developing critical and logical thinking and applying the theories learned to evaluate day-to-day situations. This year’s orbital projects culminated with students making detailed and impassioned presentations for all the five subject societies of English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science to their peers, teachers, guests, and parents in the culmination event held between 15th February and 17th February 2023. Facilitating project-based learning, Orbital Projects provide students of classes VI to VIII a platform to explore topics of their choice with the mentorship of teachers. While the guiding force of orbital projects continues to be the passion of students to explore their interest areas, students are guided by mentors to develop research questions and objectives, narrow down methodologies for their research, and devise ways of presenting their respective topics. The culmination event, the orbital project presentations, plays a crucial role in enabling students to streamline their research, work on the articulation of ideas, develop confidence and public speaking skills. They also foster sensitivity towards the issues and environment that surround us and instil values of vigilant and responsible citizenship in students. The presentations received tremendous appreciation from the parents and eminent guests.
