The CommUnity Cup, a multi-sport inter-school sports challenge, a unique initiative by the Nirmal Bhartia School was held from 19th to 21st April 2023 at the School involving students of classes IV to XII. In accordance with our founding belief, ‘When You work together in Unity, You get the power of CommUnity’, the change-making nature of the challenge lies in its special structuring of rules and incentives to help children appreciate the true meaning of being a TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More! In addition to matches in familiar games such as futsal, basketball, table tennis and challenges in gymnastics, a unique feature of the Cup was the ‘surprise challenge’, where the unique, innovative rules were revealed to the participating teams just before the competition began. Succeeding in the challenge inevitably required the participants to muster their very best collaborative skills and work together as a TEAM. Ten schools from Delhi/NCR participated in this event. We congratulate all the participants who contributed to this wonderful demonstration of unity through Play!
